American Airlines partnered up with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation 26 years ago and the relationship is as strong as ever.  The airline sponsored its first race in Dallas in 1983 and continues to support Komen’s promise to save lives and end breast cancer.  Through different events hosted throughout the year, the partnership between American Airlines and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation promotes the education, prevention, treatment, and eventual cure of a disease that affects men and women worldwide. The 18 th Annual American Airlines Celebrity Golf/Tennis Weekend is scheduled to take place Oct. 4-7, 2012.  It is presented by Konica Minolta and hosted by the Par Hyatt Aviara Resort and the Del Mar Country Club.  The fun-filled weekend benefits a good cause--the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Promise Grant at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for new treatments for inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). Custom challenge coins created to promote special events like these are the perfect tool for non-profits for a number of different reasons.  First and foremost, they’re attractive and memorable.  People love taking home a souvenir from the events they participate in and donate to.  Next, custom coins are durable and long lasting.  It isn’t unusual to have a custom coin from an event from years before.  Last but not least, custom challenge coins are fun to collect.  Many people look forward to the next event so they can add to their coin collection.
