Why the pin is ordered
Medical work runs on long hours, and that pin stays on the same person from one shift to the next. Hospitals order them for time on the job and for a star rating the hospital earned together. A leadership track or a residency can end by giving pins to those who finish. Schools hand each graduate a pin at the event that marks the student becoming a nurse. A sticker peels off after repeated hand washing, and a certificate stays in a locker.
For a pin worn every day on scrubs or a white coat, cloisonné handles it. The color fills to the top of the raised lines. A polish then leaves a glassy face and makes this the most durable style. A different plating for each tier shows the years of service.

Academy
and residency
A leadership academy hands each person who finishes a pin at the closing session. House staff can follow that pattern at the end of training, with one design for every physician there. People clip it on the following morning and keep wearing it after the course ends.
Whole
staff milestone
When a hospital earns a rating, each employee can take home a pin that names the result. A building anniversary can carry one artwork for everyone who shared that year. It comes out during the week of the announcement, and later hires get the design when they join.
Team and
department
On a new hire’s first day, the department gives them a pin carrying the team name. Everyone already on that service wears the matching pin while they work, so people can spot the group across a busy hall.

A few questions come up before the buyer places a pin order.
Medical pins are metal pins that hospitals and clinics give staff to mark work the public rarely notices. A service year, a finished program, a hospital rating, or a crew emblem can all appear on it. People place them in view during rounds on the floor.
The minimum order is 100 pins. Each design needs its own mold and its own proof. The mold stays on file for 3 years from the latest order, and each reorder restarts that window.
A program can order a design for every graduating student to receive on pinning day. An LPN program and an RN program can each have a separate design, with velvet cases or custom printed cards holding the pin for the person crossing the stage.
On scrubs or a badge reel, a deluxe clutch or a jewelry clutch is an extra that keeps the pin attached all day. The magnetic back comes as an add-on and needs no hole in the fabric. Butterfly clutches and rubber clutches come with the pin as the included pair.
Departments ordering well above the minimum can place several designs in one order, and the rep sets that up.
Production usually takes 3½-4 weeks after you approve the proof, plus a few days in transit. A buyer with an event date should tell their rep the date up front.
