A badge made small
On the lapel, police uniform pins show the badge while the full-size piece remains on the work shirt. A chief’s office orders that pin so officers can bring the department’s name to city meetings and school visits. Years served appear on a sheriff’s star, and some offices order employee recognition pins for those milestones. The office puts its name and a short motto on that star. Lodges and associations buy pins for those who belong. A state association orders one design when it wants delegates to find one another at the annual conference.
The pin can be cut to follow the outline of a badge or star the department already uses. Dual plating combines gold and silver on one pin. All-metal pins are die struck, and an antique finish brings out the detail. Sequential numbering gives each pin its own number. The pin can show the department’s patch next to the city or county name, along with a unit name. The department gives those pins at a swearing-in, a promotion or a retirement.

Special
Unit Pins
A unit orders its own pin when the team is new or takes a new name. Only members of that team wear the mark. The pin tells the rest of the department who is on that crew.
Service
Year Pins
At the awards ceremony, the department presents a pin to an officer who has reached the years of service it marks. The number of years goes on the pin, and a star is one shape the office can choose. The officer wears the pin on the uniform after the presentation.
Lapel
Badge Copies
A lapel-size copy of the department badge is meant for dress occasions. Officers also wear the copy off duty. The officer keeps the pin after retiring.

Buyers usually decide quantity and back style first.
Small metal versions of a department badge or a unit emblem. Police lapel pins go on a jacket when the issued badge stays on the uniform. Some teams use a mark that only their members may wear.
100 pins is the minimum for a custom design. Larger quantities bring the price per pin down. One order can include a single design in several colors or finishes.
Yes. We match your badge in metal, with the seal and the lettering raised. Where yours runs half gold and half silver, the lapel version follows that layout.
A butterfly clutch and a rubber clutch are included. Heavy daily wear calls for a locking back. The magnetic back works on both wool and lighter fabrics. The locking back and the magnetic back cost extra.
Sheriff’s offices order these, including a deputy star left blank where the name goes. Fire departments buy them too, for their crews.
Production takes 3½-4 weeks after the proof is approved, plus a few days in transit. A buyer with an event date should tell their rep the date up front. A spinner or a slider takes longer than the standard production time.
