Custom Pin Pricing

There are a number of factors that impact custom pin pricing. The quantity of pins ordered is the single largest factor. The more lapel pins you order, the lower the unit price!

The type of pin, size of pin, and addition of specialized customization options like dual plating, glitter, custom cardstock, etc. also impact the pin cost. The pricing charts below give an estimated cost of an order based on the size and scale of the custom pin order.

We believe in simple, transparent pricing with no last-minute fees. That’s why we don’t charge for design services, have one production speed (FAST), and ship all orders to the US for free via UPS or Fedex Air.

Our most popular pins are custom soft enamel pins. Custom soft enamel pins are a low-cost and highly customizable option that works well with almost any design or logo. Recognizable by their raised metal borders and recessed enamel paint fills, a soft enamel lapel pin is what most people think of when they think of pins. We include the first seven enamel paint colors at no charge on soft enamel pin orders so design options are plentiful, and there’s no mold or setup fee for custom soft enamel pins up to 2.00” in size.

Custom cloisonne pins (aka hard enamel pins) have a smooth jewelry-grade finish and the colors featured are more lustrous. The face of a cloisonne pin is slightly glossy and smooth to the touch. Colors are separated from one another by metal borders. The colors featured in the design are added one at a time and filled past the surface of the metal borders. The pins are then fired in an oven and hand polished smooth once the cloisonne fills have cured. The process is then repeated for the next color until the pin design is complete!

Die struck pins get their name from the custom die (also referred to as a “mold”) machined of your design. This die is used to strike (or stamp) your design into the base metal. The pins are then cutout from the base material, plated, and have their attachment mechanisms attached. Because there’s no painting for this type of pin, custom die struck pins have the quickest turnaround and can be the perfect solution for a short deadline or rush project. We can make die-struck pins in all of our high polished and antique finishes. Sandblasting and antiquing your plating option can create visual contrast in a custom pin design without taking away from the classic aesthetic. For designs with lots of text, we always recommend antiqued designs for legibility and clarity. Our custom die struck pins are especially popular with designs for service award pins and years of service pins.

Another option for capturing fine detail in a small area on a custom pin is the silkscreen pin. We can print to the edge of the pin and put colors right next to other colors without metal borders. For businesses or organizations with strict guidelines on how their emblems or logos can be displayed, custom silkscreen pins can perfectly reproduce an original design without adjustment. This pin type is also great for years of service, since we can change the year without having to make another whole mold!

Send Us Your Ideas

The first step to getting custom coins is simply send us your idea. It can be a sketch, photo, or logos in AI, EPS, or PDF formats.

Step 2

Receive Your Custom Proof (& Request Revisions if Needed)

After you give us your design idea, we will then create a proof and we work with you until we get your approval.

Step 3

Approve & Production Begins

Your approved artwork will be sent to our custom lapel pin production line where we will machine a custom lapel pin mold to begin the production process! The complete process usually takes 10-14 days

Step 4

Your Order Gets Shipped

Once your lapel pins are completed and pass quality-control, they are packed and shipped! We ship free via UPS Next Day Air to U.S. addresses because no one likes to wait, especially for custom pins.
